Even with the most conscious mouth hygiene it is likely to lose some of our teeth as result of tooth decay or an accident. Due to the develpoment in medicine it is no more necessary to use full or partial prothesises. Dental implants substitute the roots of teeth, so once it has been placed in the jaw, your dentist can  connect crowns, bridges and dentures to it.
With  implants it is not  required to  reduce other teeth, as in case of a  tooth-supported bridges.

There is so small difference between the implant supported crowns and your original teeth that it is hard to recognize.

The implant supported dentures are not mooving and denture glue is not required, the function could be back to normal again.
Implants are made of titanium, that is completely antiallergic, thus it is easily accepted to the body.

Despite of this there are some contraindications which has to be judged individually:

- uncontrolled diabetes
- bleading disorders
- intake of certain medicines
- heavy smoking
- in case of children
- in case of alcohol or drog addiction
